National Wild Turkey Federation to host “Jakes” Canoe event

The National Wild Turkey Federation, along with River Rats Canoe Rentals, is hosting a “Jakes” Canoeing Event Saturday July 26th for children/teens ages 6-17. There is room for 30 children/teens, and parents are welcome to join their child/children in the canoe. The cost is covered by our supporting sponsors, who provide this event at no charge to up to 50 children/teens.
All donations will benefit the National Wild Turkey Federation (5013c Organization), in order to conserve wildlife habitat and uphold hunting traditions. You may find more information regarding this organization at http://www.NWTF.org

DNR (Game Warden) Speaking about boating safety 9:45
Canoe Launch 10:00
Snack on Sand Bar (half way point) approximately 11:30
Arrive at River house for lunch (hot dogs/hamburgers) 1:00
Any participants ages 6-17 on the day of the event also receive a t-shirt, along with a one year Jakes membership as a gift.

Directions:
Turn left on Friendfield Road off of Hwy 52 going toward Lake City.
Go past County Detention Center
Veer right at fork in road (right side of store)
Go approximately 1 1/2 miles past fork and lauch will be on right.
