The students at McBee Elementary School got a special treat on Nov. 25.
Miss South Carolina Anna Perry visited the school to educate the students in third through sixth grades about the Palmetto Pride program.
Palmetto Pride is dedicated to keeping highways and roads free of litter. The focus of this program is on educating students on why littering is bad for the environment. Along with this program, some goodies (i.e. pencils, stickers, fun workbooks, bracelets, etc.) were distributed to serve as reminders to keep our state beautiful.
After speaking with and posing for pictures with the classes, she also made the time to visit each first- and second-grade classroom.
