Marion native is named interim endowment director

Coby Cartrette Hennecy, formerly of Marion and daughter of Mary Coleman of Marion and Gordon Cartrette of Galivant’s Ferry, has been named interim director of the ETV Endowment.
ETV’s founding Endowment Executive Director, Elaine T. Freeman, retired on Dec. 31 after 31 years of service. The non-profit organization was founded in Spartanburg in 1977 to support the educational mission of South Carolina ETV and ETV Radio. The existence of the Endowment has allowed ETV to become a national leader on the public broadcasting scene.
Hennecy, a certified public accountant, has been serving as the Endowment’s financial officer and assistant director. She holds a Master of Accountancy and was an auditor with PricewaterhouseCoopers before joining the endowment in 1999.
Based in Spartanburg, she is involved in her community, serving on the Board of Directors for the Spartanburg Institute of Managerial Accountants, the City of Spartanburg’s Investment Oversight Committee and Audit Committee, as well as the Finance Committee of the Girl Scouts of South Carolina – Mountains to Midlands.
A graduate of the Leadership Spartanburg program, Hennecy regularly volunteers with Junior Achievement.
