A local funeral home employee was arrested after police say he falsely used the funeral home’s gas card.
Prince Charles Hannah, 18, is charged with breach of trust, according to Lake City Police Captain Bobby Williams.
Police officers located Hannah on Matthews Road on May 12 and he was taken into custody where he was formally charged after he gave a statement, Williams said.
Hannah was given a gas card to purchase fuel for funeral home vehicles and failed to return the gas card, Williams said.
Williams said it was discovered the card was used numerous times at Coker Oil Company where more than $1,800 of gas was purchased.
Lake City booking reports show Hannah was bonded out on May 13.
