Coker SAAC Committee’s athlete auction featured in magazine

The Coker College Student- Athlete Advisory Committee’s (SAAC) athlete auction that was held in March has been featured in Athletic Management Magazine.
In the June/July issue of the magazine, the athlete auction is featured as a great idea for community engagement for athletic departments.
The auction, which was completely student planned and implemented, gave the Hartsville community the opportunity to bid on pairs of Cobra athletes and select teams to do various tasks around the house or office for people, with the proceeds from the event going to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
In the beginning, the SAAC committee wanted to raise around $500 to $1,000, but was able to bring in over $3,000 thanks to the generosity of the Hartsville and Coker communities.
