Fowlers celebrate 50th anniversary

Family and friends of Fred and Ann Fowler gathered at their home on 202 Carolina Ave., Mullins, to celebrate their 50 years of marriage on Sunday, Oct. 5.
Hosting the golden anniversary reception were their children, Teresa Smith, Brenda Wensil, Rick Fowler and Fred’s brother, John W. Fowler Jr. The Fowlers were married on Sunday Oct. 5, 1958 in the Mullins First Baptist Church, by Dr. Lewis E. McCormick, who attended the reception. After several years in Georgia, the couple returned to Mullins to raise a family and manage the family business, Carolina Furniture House.
Immediate family in attendance included John W. Fowler Jr., Carl and Teresa Fowler Smith and their daughters Ashley and Haley, David and Brenda Fowler Wensil, Rick and Melissa Fowler and their children, Bridget and Will.
