Safer drivers is one positive from higher gas prices

Rising gas prices may have one positive benefit.  That benefit is safer drivers.

A study’s determined for each 10-percent rise in gas prices, there’s more than a 2-percent decline in traffic deaths.

Researchers say people usually drive more slowly when gas costs more, and the higher prices often keep younger drivers off the road.
