Pregnant women who consume caffeine, even just one cup of coffee a day, are at higher risk of giving birth to an underweight baby.
The findings are the latest evidence connecting caffeine to negative health effects for expectant mothers.
In January, researchers found that pregnant women who drink two or more cups of coffee daily are at twice the risk of having a miscarriage.
