Molecular breast imaging has two benefits

A technique called molecular breast imaging may be as accurate,  but less costly, as an M-R-I scan to detect breast cancer.

The technology is only available now at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, but experts say it has great promise for doing a better screening job than current
methods.
