Elizabeth “Lizzie” Marie Turner and Todd Rendel Schetter, both of Effingham, were married at 6 p.m. Dec. 28, 2007, at Coward Baptist Church.
The Rev. Craig Tedder performed the ceremony.
The bride, who was escorted by her father, is the daughter of Donnie Carlton and April (Munn) Turner of Effingham. She is the granddaughter of Andrew and Linda (Griffin) Munn of Timmonsville, and Hugh Turner and the late Marion H. Turner of Effingham.
She is a senior at South Florence High School.
The groom is the son of Todd William and Sandi (Conner) Schetter of Effingham. He is the grandson of Susan and Robert Flowers of Effingham, Gerald Conner of Florence, Jan Gorski of Fairborn, Ohio, and the late Robert Rendel Schetter of Ohio.
He is a 2007 graduate of South Florence High School and is a member of the South Carolina Army National Guard in Fort Gordon, Ga.
Maid of honor was Ashley Nichole Turner, sister of the bride.
Matron of honor was Renee Turner-Baker, sister of the bride.
Best man was Martin Dickerson.
Bridesmaids were Abby Yarborough, cousin of the bride, Kelsey Yeargin and April Miller.
Honorary groomsman was Sgt. Patrick Baker, brother-in-law of the bride, active duty in Baghdad, Iraq.
Groomsmen were Hugh B. “Bubba” Thornton, Seth Morgan and Jeff Miller.
Flower girl was Kacie Conner, cousin of the groom.
Ring bearer was Conner Brunson Munn, cousin of the bride.
Honorary bridesmaids were Alicia Cartwright, Emily Cartwright and Dusti Yarborough, cousins of the bride, and Rachel Morris.
A reception followed at Coward Baptist Church in Coward.
After a wedding trip to Myrtle Beach, the couple will live in Effingham.
