Corrie Leigh Stengel of Darlington and John Christopher Wilson of Andrews were married at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008, at the Stengel residence in Darlington.
Officiating pastor of the outdoor double-ring ceremony was Charles Windham, supported by Pastor Geraldine Bednego and the Rev. Dale McCluney.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cary J. Stengel and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. L.E. Morgan of Glenwood, Ga., and Mrs. Alyce Stengel and the late Mr. Wesley Stengel of Darlington.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Wilson of Andrews. He is the grandson of Mrs. Pat Creel and the late Mr. Henry Creel, and Mrs. Lillie Bell Wilson and the late Mr. Herman Wilson, all of Andrews.
The bride was escorted by her father.
Matron of honor was Ms. Jodia Slater, cousin of the bride.
Best man was Mr. John Wilson, father of the groom.
Bridesmaids were Miss Abbra Odom and Miss Magen Stengel, cousins of the bride.
Groomsmen were Mr. Patrick Wilson, brother of the groom, and Mr. Madison Ball, god-brother of the groom.
Flower girl was Miss Baylee Ball, god-sister of the groom.
Ring bearer was Mr. Rhett (Everett) Ogburn, cousin of the bride.
Attendants were Miss Aubrey Stegall, “sister,” and Mr. M. Trent Stengal, brother of the bride.
Soloist and musician was Mrs. Cindy Chavis.
Wedding director was Mrs. Renee Stengel, aunt of the bride.
The reception followed at the home and was given by the bride’s extended family.
Following a cruise to Grand Cayman and surrounding areas, the couple will make their home in Andrews.
