Adrian Rebecca Sims and Stephen Woody Truluck, both of Charleston, were married May 31, 2008, at 6 p.m. at the Indiantown Presbyterian Church in Indiantown.
The Revs. Gene Lassiter and Michael Bragan performed the ceremony.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Mrs. Ann Rogers Chandler, organist; Mr. Terris Roberts and Mr. Justin Taylor, violinists; Mrs. Mindy Burgen, cellist; and Mr. Kurt Slaughenhoupt, trumpeter.
An outdoor reception followed at the home of the bride’s parents.
The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Edward Sims of Indiantown, is the granddaughter of Elizabeth Roberts Daniel and the late Ronald Clifton Daniel of Indiantown, and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Henry Sims of Charleston. She is a graduate of Converse College with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in interior design and an art history minor. She is partner and principle designer at Parker-Sims Interiors of Charleston.
The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore an ivory strapless gown of Thai silk custom tailored and designed for her while traveling in Thailand. The silk sash she wore was adorned with her late grandmother’s broach. She wore a cathedral-length mantilla, which was her mother’s.
The groom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Myers Truluck Sr. of Lake City, is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Angus DeBeny of Pamplico,and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Moultrie Truluck Sr. of Lake City. He is a graduate of the College of Charleston with a degree in international business with a concentration in global logistics. He is an industrial and commercial broker with Coppedge & Tison Commercial Real Estate in Charleston.
Maid of honor was Meredith Daniel Sims, sister of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Ann Paisley Chandler, Lindsay Austin DuBose, Leah Edwards Garland, Eugenia Stone Miller, Jean Ann Pate Maynard, Ivie Elizabeth Parker, Keels Culberson Swinnie and Martha Chandler Westbrook.
Flower girl was Grace Elizabeth Carroll.
Best man was Richard Myers Truluck Sr., father of the groom.
Groomsmen were Richard Myers Truluck II, brother of the groom, Thomas Pinckney Bryan, Rowland C. Evans, Robert Carter Helms, James English Maybank, Anthony John Nobile Jr., Harry Van Brun Ragsdale, Tyler Dean Sigmon and John Corey White.
Ushers were William Blount Ellison, Charles Edwin Hill and Christopher Paul Whelan.
After a wedding trip to Belize, the couple resides in Charleston.
