Emily Inez Shaw of Mullins and Ernest Guy Moore IV of Florence were married at 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008, at Macedonia United Methodist Church in Mullins.
The Revs. Michael Turner and Kem Thomas performed the ceremony.
The bride, who was escorted by her father, is the daughter of Mr. Alton Buren Shaw Jr. of Florence and Mr. and Mrs. James Herbert Ward of Mullins. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alton Buren Shaw Sr. of Florence, the late Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Cromwell Graves Jr. of Mullins, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Thadeus Ward of Marion.
She is a graduate of Francis Marion University with a Bachelor of Science in early childhood education and a master’s degree in learning disabilities. She is employed by Marion School District 1.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Guy Moore III of Florence. He is the grandson of Mrs. Cora Lynn Baker Moore and the late Mr. Ernest Guy Moore Jr. of Florence and the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Dewey White of Florence.
He is a graduate of Francis Marion University with a Bachelor of Science in biology and is employed by Frischkorn.
Matron of honor was Mrs. Amy Bailey Breeden.
Maids of honor were Miss Mary Catherine Ward, sister of the bride, and Miss Sheila Ann McCormick.
Best man was Mr. Ernest Guy Moore III, father of the groom.
Bridesmaids were Miss Shara Lynle Moore, sister of the groom; Mrs. Leigh Ward Polk and Mrs. Melanie Ward Stanley, sisters of the bride; and Mrs. Melanie McKenzie Smith.
Groomsmen were Mr. William Lambert Breeden III; Mr. Charles Baker Moore, uncle of the groom; Mr. Larry Clinton Moore Jr., cousin of the groom; Mr. Toney Carl Moore, cousin of the groom; Mr. Michael Leston Smith; and Mr. Matthew Burl Walters, cousin of the bride.
A reception followed at the Florence Country Club.
After a wedding trip to Mexico, the couple will live in Florence.
