Locklair – Kanos

Donna Lynn Locklair and Tommy James Kanos, both of Florence, were married at 3:30 p.m. Oct. 18, 2008, at Transfiguration Of Our Savior Greek Orthodox Church.
Father Athanasios Haros performed the ceremony.
The bride, who was escorted by her father, is the daughter of Levern and Doris Locklair of Florence. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Williams of Florence and the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Wesley Locklair of Olanta.
The bride is a graduate of South Florence High School and is employed by Battle LP Gas of Florence.
The bride wore an Ivory Satin A-line dress with cap sleeves. Chiffon split front and metallic embroidery with a chapel train, and a satin veil. The bouquet was adorned with red roses, sunflowers and camellia leaves.
The bride also wore a pearl necklace and bracelet given to her by the groom’s later mother.
The groom is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Kanos of Florence. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Athanasios Mourounas of Greece and the late Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Katsanos of Greece.
He is a graduate of Wilson High School and Florence-Darlington Technical College with an associate degree in electronics engineering technology. He is owner and operator of TJK Home Improvements.
Maid of honor was Kim Carter.
Best man was Nick Kanos, brother of the groom.
Koumbaroi was John and Marika Gallins, Godparents of the bride and cousin of the groom.
Bridesmaids were Constantina Gallins, cousin of the groom, Kaye Locklair, sister-in-law of the bride, and Amanda Quinlan.
Junior bridesmaid was Meighan Locklair, niece of the bride.
Groomsmen were Gary Averette, Paul Kanos, cousin of the groom, and Sammy Locklair, brother of the bride.
Grown bearer was George Mourounas, cousin of the groom.
Flower girls were Ashley Carter and Madison Miles, nieces of the bride, and Pola Katsanos, niece of the groom.
Ring bearer was Christopher Locklair, nephew of the bride.
Carpet rollers were Will Carter and Scott Locklair, brother of the bride.
Chanter was Nick Mathes.
Program Attendants were Maria Keller, cousin of the groom, and Melanie Miles, cousin of the bride.
A reception followed at the Florence Country Club in Florence.
After a wedding cruise to the Bahamas, the couple will live in Florence.
