Catherine Corbett Lawhon of Florence and Christopher Derrick Kelley of Lexington were married Thursday, June 5, 2008, on Waikiki Beach in Hawaii.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Michael Lawhon of Florence. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert French Moore of Asheville, N.C., and Mr. McKinney Lawhon and the late Dorothy Corbett Lawhon of Timmonsville. She is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a minor in criminal justice. She will be employed as a financial adviser with First Command Financial in Hawaii.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Campbell Kelley Jr. of Lexington. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Campbell Kelley Sr., and Mrs. Coleen Coleman Derrick and the late Theodore Elvin Derrick Jr. of Lexington. He is a graduate of Lexington High School and is a corporal in the United States Marine Corps, stationed in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii.
A reception will be held in spring 2009.
The couple will reside in Aiea, Hawaii.
