Mr. and Mrs. Richard M. Nettles Jr. and Mr. and Mrs. James K. Huneycutt of Lamar announce the engagement of their daughter, Whitney Anne Huneycutt of Lamar, to Julian S. Coker of Lake City, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lemuel Scott Coker of Lake City.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James D. Odom Sr. of Lamar, and Barbara Ann Huneycutt and the late Jake Huneycutt.
She is a graduate of Robert E. Lee Academy and Surfside Dental Academy. She is employed with Carolina Children’s Dentistry of Sumter.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Mary Coker of Lake City and the late William Lemuel Coker, and Iva Mae Lee and the late Jessie Morrel Lee.
He is a graduate of Lake City High School and Florence-Darlington Technical College with a degree in electro-mechanical engineering. He is employed with Palmetto True Value Hardware in Lake City.
A wedding is planned for Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008, at Lawton Park of Hartsville.
