Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Howell of Oates announce the engagement of their daughter, Adrian Heather Howell of Oates, to Christopher Jason Smothers of Hartsville. The bridegroom-elect is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Smothers of Hartsville.
Their wedding is planned for Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008, at Mt. Elon Baptist Church in Lydia.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Emmanuel Christian School in Hartsville. She is also a recent graduate of Florence-Darlington Technical College with a certificate in massage therapy. Soon to be a licensed massage therapist, Heather will be employed at the Golden Comb Beauty Salon in Hartsville.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Emmanuel Christian School in Hartsville. He attended Florence-Darlington Technical College, majoring in criminal justice and graduated from the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy. Mr. Smothers is a deputy sheriff with the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office.
The bride-elect’s grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. William Howell and Peggy Andrews.
The bridegroom-elect’s grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Smothers and Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Winburn.
