Pee Dee Doll Club brings show, sale back to Florence

The Pee Dee Doll Club presents its 22nd Annual Doll & Toy Show & Sale Sept. 6 in Florence.
The show theme this year is “Dolls & Toys Under the Tree” featuring Christmas displays of dolls and toys from the ’40s, ’50s and ’60s by Pee Dee Doll Club members.
Along with the Christmas displays, doll enthusiasts will find doll furniture, doll china sets, miniature items, paper dolls and more than 20 dealers specializing in dolls and toys from throughout the Southeast.
Show attendees also will find many collectible and fashion dolls such as Barbie, Gene, Tonner, Effanbee, Ginny’s and Madame Alexander. Antique, composition, vinyl from as far back as the ’30s to modern dolls will be available for viewing and purchasing.
The Show & Sale also features doll experts to answer questions concerning the building blocks of doll care and maintenance.
United Federation of Doll Clubs Past Region 8 Director Bradley Justice will be on hand to appraise and identify dolls.
Bonnie Capps of “Dollie Darling” will be available for to do minor repairs on dolls and give advice on cleaning and restoring dolls. Door prizes, including dolls donated by Mattel, Tonner and Alexander Doll Company, will be given away every 30 minutes.
The Pee Dee Doll Club encourages all Pee Dee residents to come and enjoy the fun and fellowship at the 22nd Annual Doll & Toy Show & Sale.
The Pee Dee Doll Club is a non-profit organization and a portion of the this year’s proceeds will support the Pee Dee Girls’ Home of Florence.
