The “There’s No Place Like Home” program, a six-session introductory training program designed to help family child care and group home providers learn to offer high-quality child care, will be offered in Florence.
The program will be on Saturday mornings beginning Oct. 4 at Florence-Darlington Technical College with instructor Erni Weisner. By completing the program, participants can earn the 30-hour ABC Family Child Care Credential, which is required to become an ABC enhanced child care provider. Some participants also may be eligible for a cash bonus.
A $30 registration/enrollment fee helps offset the cost of refreshments and materials for the program, which is being offered through a partnership between Lee County First Steps, Interfaith Community Services and the United Way Success By 6 Region 4 Child Care Connections Research and Referral.
For more information, call Weisner or Alexis Pipkins at (843) 292-8999 or toll-free (866) 850-8998.
