Hospital society names Beth L. Cardosi president

Dr. Beth L. Cardosi, a hospitalist at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, has been elected to serve as president of the Palmetto Chapter of the Society of Hospital Medicine.
Cardosi, who is board certified in internal medicine, received her medical degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, Texas. She completed her internal medicine residency at Methodist Medical Center in Dallas.
The Society of Hospital Medicine strives to promote the highest quality care for all hospitalized patients. It is made up of more than 6,000 members.
“I appreciate this opportunity to bring local hospitalists together in order to promote teamwork and support among this group of professionals so that we can deliver the highest quality of care to all hospitalized patients,” Cardosi said in a press release.
