Darlington chamber offers series of events

The Greater Darlington Chamber of Commerce is planning a series of events through Nov. 20, beginning with a ribbon-cutting from noon to 12:30 p.m. today for Sound Solutions Hearing Care at 139 Cashua St., Darlington.
The chamber will offer a “How To Start Your Business” workshop from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday. The workshop will cover topics such as business structure, licenses, taxes, insurance and how to write a business plan.
Also, from 8:30 a.m. to noon Nov. 20, the chamber will offer a manufacturing career fair for school district EEDA coordinators, guidance staff, career specialists, adult education staff, One Stop staff, community leaders and others. The purpose of the event is to provide educators the opportunity to network with these business leaders, learn about their products and the careers within their business and offers a chance to learn more about the industries in the Pee Dee.
