Community Resource Bank names regional president

Michael Blakeley has been named Florence regional president for Community Resource Bank.

Previously, Blakeley was a senior vice president at Sentry Bank & Trust and served at Wachovia and South Carolina National Bank. He has nearly 40 years of experience in the financial services industry.

Blakeley, an Andrews native who attended The Citadel, served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War and logged more than 1,500 flying hours aboard a C-130 Hercules aircraft. He serves on several community and business boards, including those of the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce and the Francis Marion University Center for the Performing Arts.

Community Resource Bank has two branches in Florence, at 812 Second Loop Road, and 2009 Hoffmeyer Road. It has 10 branches in all, with locations in Blythewood, Columbia, Orangeburg, Ridgeway, Sumter and Winnsboro.
