SBA Web chat to address credit crunch
Eric Zarnikow, associate administrator for the Office of Capital Access at the U.S. Small Business Administration, will host the SBA’s January Web chat on the topic “How Small Businesses Can Deal with the Credit Crunch.” It will take place at 1 p.m. Jan. 15 and last an hour.

The Wachovia Foundation has donated $10,000 to the Pee Dee Chapter of the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund after one of the bank’s employees lost everything in a fire.

Total Carolina Care sponsors food pantries
Total Carolina Care is sponsoring Harvest Hope Mobile Food Pantries on Dec. 17 in Marion and Dillon counties. Total Carolina Care representatives already have helped pack food boxes for distribution to the food pantries at the Harvest Hope site in Florence on Monday and Tuesday.
Jordan promoted at Chesterfield General
Registered nurse Julia Jordan has been promoted to chief quality officer at Chesterfield General Hospital. Jordan will assume those duties Jan. 5 as she takes over responsibilities from Kari Snyder, who recently was promoted to chief nursing officer. Jordan will be part of Chesterfield General’s Administrative Team.
