Eagles, Moody Blues to headline Hard Rock opening

The Hard Rock Park announced today The Eagles will headline the park’s Grand Opening Extravaganza. The concert will take place June 2. On June 3, The Moody Blues will commemorate the park’s psychedelic “Nights in White Satin-The Trip” with a performance.

Tickets for the Extravaganza are $250.  Megan Winnett, Hard Rock Park Public Relations Manager said tickets include park admission for June 2 and 3, admission to both The Eagles and The Moody Blues concerts, admission to the celebrity golf tournament, free parking, a food and beverage package and a souvenir package.

Winnett said this is considered a special event and is not included in the season pass. She said their website calendar showed the park closing at 6 p.m. on June 2 since the beginning. Laurie Grubb said her husband purchased a season-pass for her in December. She was under the impression that concerts were included. 

Winnett said on the back of the season pass there’s disclaimer stating special events are not included. All other concerts are. Winnett said the Extravaganza is an exclusive event.

The Grand Opening Extravaganza tickets go on sale March 17 at 11 a.m. online and at the park’s All-Access ticket booths.

Rock-n-Roll legends and sports celebrities will also participate in a celebrity golf tournament. The tournament is a joint-adventure between the park and Peter Jacobsen Sports. Jacobsen will also host a Peter Jacobsen and Friends Golf Clinic.

The park will hold a soft opening on April 15 and the formal grand opening on May 9.
