ETV secures $300,000 grant for Georgetown’s Hobcaw Barony website

COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina ETV and the ETV Endowment announced May 6 the agencies had received funding from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) in support of an interactive website exploring the history and culture of Hobcaw Barony, located in Georgetown County.

The website, entitled Between the Waters, has received $294,154 from the NEH. The project has also been funded by a grant from the Humanities Council S.C. to document archaeology conducted at Hobcaw by the South Carolina Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology, according to a press release.
