Ruby Lee McDaniel Chandler JOHNSONVILLE - Ruby Lee McDaniel Chandler, 86, wife of S. B. Chandler, passed away Monday, November 18, 2013, at her home. Mrs. Ruby was born in Johnsonville, a daughter of the late Perry DuRant and Annie Rogers McDaniel. She was former co-owner and operator of The Sewing Center, a member of the Johnsonville United Methodist Church, UMW and the Order of the Eastern Star. She loved sewing, knitting, and reading. Surviving are her husband of 69 years, S. B. Chandler; children, Beryl (Barbara) Chandler, Cecelia (Tom) Morrow, Karen (Gene) Miles and Pamela (Gene) Cantey; grandchildren, Bryan (Barbara) Chandler, Broderick Chandler, DeAnna (Jack) Carnell Skelton, Benjamin (Dawn) Carnell, Kimberly (Larry) Griffith, Jayson (Chelsea Marsh) Cantey, Jayme (Jordan) Ward; great-grandchildren, Bryson Chandler, Elizabeth Chandler, Austin Skelton, Chad Skelton, Ben Carnell and Sawyer Carnell, Wyatt Griffith, Chandler Griffith, Aubrie Marsh, Scarlet Ward; sisters, Wilma Prosser, Everette Eaddy and Elsie Fuller. She was predeceased by a sister, Vera Wrobel. Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM Friday, November 22, 2013, in Johnsonville United Methodist Church. Burial, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, will be in the Garden of Devotion Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30PM till 3:00PM Friday, November 22, 2013, in the Johnsonville United Methodist Church, 240 S. Georgetown Hwy., Johnsonville, SC, 29555. Memorials may be made to the Johnsonville United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 449, Johnsonville, SC, 29555 or to Carolina Hospice, 121 E. Cedar St., Florence, SC 29501. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Carolina Hospice team, especially Robin Harrell, Bobbie Folghum, Barry Dean, and Rev. Stan Kennedy.
