FLORENCE, S.C. -- This year the Florence Christmas Parade’s theme will be “The Season for Hope and Giving,” and with a new charity component to the festivities, organizers are hoping Florentines will show up with a few canned goods to give.

The parade is partnering with Harvest Hope Food Bank and will have a pickup truck driving the downtown parade route for spectators to place their nonperishable food items in to assist the food pantry that serves the Pee Dee.
