FLORENCE, S.C. -- Women in Philanthropy, a special initiative of Eastern Carolina Community Foundation, will host a public meeting at noon Thursday, Feb. 21, in the Stukes Meeting Room at Drs. Bruce & Lee Foundation Library for prospective members to gain insight into what the organization does.

Women in Philanthropy is a giving circle where each member contributes a tax deductible gift and collectively makes a decision about how to award the pooled gifts to regional nonprofit organizations. Representatives from organizations that have received  grants from Women in Philanthropy will speak about the impact of  those funds on the people they serve.
