A 26-year-old Timmonsville man will spend 30 years in prison for the 2011 shooting death of his brother-in-law.

Carlynias Marquis Pettigrew, formerly of 300 Colonial Drive, was originally charged with murder in the Jan. 24, 2011, death of Coraygus Ansonio Hodges of Darlington. But on Thursday, he pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter as part of a negotiated plea agreement with the 12th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
