The weekday LakeTran service that has looped through Lake City since November will take one less trip per day beginning in August.

According to the Chuck MacNeil, executive director at the Pee Dee Regional Transportation Authority, the last weekday trip runs from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. and has averaged less than two passengers per trip; the May average ridership for the 5 p.m. trip was just 1.8.
