Florence gang members sentenced in federal court

FLORENCE — Nine Florence gang members have been sentenced in federal court, U.S. Attorney W. Walter Wilkins said in a press release issued Thursday afternoon.

U.S. District Judge Bryan Harwell sentenced Demetrius Lashawn Capers, also known as Pee Wee, 25, to 188 months (more than 15 years) in prison; Caryone Corry McDonald, also known as “Corry,” 29, to 140 months (more than 11 years) in prison; Jyquan Antonio Woods, also known as “Cheese,” 21, to 100 months (more than eight years) in prison; Willie Donnell Burrell, also known as “Destroya,” 34, to 97 months (more than eight years) in prison; Levester Tyyon Woods, also known as “Main,” 23, Antwan Lorenzo Woods, also known as “Twan,” 21, and Charles Ray Thomas, also known as “Worm,” 24, all to 70 months (more than five years) in prison; Tyquan Jamar Johnson, also known as “Lil Ty,” 22, to 63 months (more than five years) in prison; and Randolph Rashad Leak, 31, to five years in prison.
