FLORENCE, S.C. -- The Chairman of the South Carolina Republican Party said Monday that despite an early ballot error made in Florence County, there will not be another party primary for the adjutant general nomination.

James Breazeale, of Florence, filed a protest Monday against the state GOP for the primary election he lost to incumbent Maj. Gen. Bob Livingston, Jr., by 209,983 votes to 67,199 votes. The race was accidentally omitted from the Florence County Republican Party absentee ballots for several days in May.
