Grand Opening scheduled for Conway's Waccamaw River Blue Trail

CONWAY -- Seven area non-profits are joining forces on Saturday, October 1, to celebrate the Grand Opening of the Waccamaw River Blue Trail and Otter Lake Boardwalk at the Cox Ferry Lake Recreation Area. This Recreation Area, part of the much larger Waccamaw Natural Wildlife Refuge, is comprised of 335 acres off Highway 544 outside Conway. From 9 AM until 2 PM, fun outdoor activities will include mountain biking lessons for kids and adults, a 9 AM organized paddle on the Waccamaw River Blue Trail, and canoeing opportunities.
