Florence Police searching for home invasion suspects

    A Florence Police K-9 team starts to search around a home at 1235 Berkeley Avenue following a home-invasion style robbery of the residence shortly after noon Monday. Nobody in the home was injured in the incident. Florence Police are continuing to investigate.

FLORENCE, S.C. -- Florence Police are looking for two black men after a home invasion style burglary on Berkeley Avenue in Florence around noon Monday.

Florence Police Major Carlos Raines said two men knocked on the door and told the resident they were doing work in the area. When the resident questioned the claim, the men -- one armed with a handgun -- forced their way into the house.
