HARTSVILLE, S.C. _ After five months in operation, officials with the Pee Dee Regional Transit Authority say the bus service it operates in Hartsville is not meeting expectations and that the agency may have to suspend the service.
“The service simply has not done well,” said PDRTA Executive Director Chuck MacNeil. “During the first couple of weeks there were maybe 10 or 15 passengers a day. Financially, it makes little sense to continue to operate the service as it is at present.”
