FLORENCE, S.C. — The Francis Marion University Board of Trustees will hear a presentation Friday on the possibility of opening a satellite campus in Mount Pleasant, just outside of Charleston.

The town of Mount Pleasant made an offer this summer to partner with the school to bring a four-year program to the bedroom community. The board tasked FMU President, Dr. Fred Carter and his staff to look into the details, work with the town administration to complete due diligence and report back to them.
