Remelt Sources Inc. (RSI) celebrated the grand opening of their new technical center located next to their manufacturing operation located at 1650 Mineral Springs Road, Darlington. The technical center will house the operations and technical staff and will feature a state-of-the art laboratory. It will provide technical support and engineering services to meet customer expectations, as well as position the company to penetrate new markets.

Originally built in 1989, American Stainless & Alloy Products LLC (ASAP) was purchased by Remelt Sources from ELG Haniel in August 2004. The company retired the ASAP name and subsidiary last fall and consolidated the companies into Remelt Sources Inc. Since 2004 RSI has invested over $8 million in new technology in Darlington County. The company employs 35 workers at the Darlington location.
