Students from Francis Marion University, Coastal Carolina University, University of South Carolina, and University of North Carolina at Pembroke are able to submit their stories for viewing on scnow.com. Each week, one of those stories will be highlighted in a segment on News13 at 5 p.m. on WBTW-TV.

With U News, we hope to expand our neighborhood-by-neighborhood approach to covering the news that is important to the Eastern Carolinas. We also want to showcase the very best work from colleges of journalism and programs of mass communications at our regional colleges and universities.

News13 and scnow.com are working closely with students, professors and faculty members to provide coverage from campuses across both North and South Carolina to provide coverage of stories going on in and around these unique communities.
