The Florence County Library System’s Summer Arts & Authors series for adults will conclude with a Beginning Drawing workshop on Thursday, July 22, at 10 a.m. in the Joseph Stukes Meeting Room, Doctors Bruce & Lee Foundation Library.

During the workshop, local artist Stephen Guyton, whose works are displayed in collections nationwide, will demonstrate the basics of pencil and paper drawing and its importance as a preliminary step to watercolor painting. Participants also will be able to practice drawing and ask questions about both drawing as well as watercolor technique.

Admission is free. Registration, however, is required. For more information or to register, please call the Florence County Library at (843) 413-7074.

The Summer Arts & Authors series is sponsored by the Friends of the Florence County Library, and in part by the Florence Convention and Visitors Bureau.
